Modern Fashion

When I went to explore Top Shop, Primark and Mark & Spencer in October 2017, I realised how much my preference in clothes have changed. When I was younger, I thought the clothes in Mark & Spencer were for the older people and they were paying too much for clothing. When I went to research about marketing, I noticed the clothes in Mark & Spencer are more sophisticated, for example, there are more detailed finishing of motifs, artworks of flowers, laces, fancy buttons and sequins. The seasonal clothes were arranged in colours themes for winter, reds, browns, black, purple, burgundy, mustard yellow and some lighter shades. There was a billboard of an Asian male model wearing the current winter theme in shade of blue and black. By comparing from what I remembered about fashion in the past (1990s) to fashion in the modern day (2017) I see the familiarity in quality and designs; lots of clothes does have patterns on it and with added elements such as sequins, embroideries, arts prints, abstract prints, figures, plants, words and phrases and others. Price ranging from affordable to excessively expensive; the clothing brands separated the material used and prices range and attracting different buyers for different occasions.

Clothing through times had evolved adapting to modern society, and for our generation we have diverse options, inspirations and combination, and influence of different eras, different culture. People are dressing appropriately for different occasions or just dressing way feel confident and comfortable in wearing.

And as for my interest in fashion, I am delighted to have the opportunity to use some of my artworks for printing on apparel and accessories by one of today fashionable and trendy e-Commerce companies, Shopvida.com, and contrado.co.uk. Below are some of my products collection.
